myCSSPEN is a private website available only to CSS Pension Plan members.
To gain access to, and use of, this private website you must read and agree to the terms and conditions appearing below. Please read them carefully and then confirm that you agree to be bound by them by selecting "I agree" on the registration page. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, then do not select "I agree," and do not use myCSSPEN.
Terms of Use By selecting "I agree," you confirm that:
- You are a CSS Pension Plan member acting on your own behalf
- You are applying for access to and use of myCSSPEN
- You are responsible for keeping your login information and password secured at all times
- You are not to provide or permit access to or use of myCSSPEN by any unauthorized personnel
- You are only permitted to access and/or copy your own data
- You will not attempt to modify or harm the functionality of any part of the system
- You assume the risk of data intercept during its transfer from your device
If you wish to withdraw from this agreement at any time and request that your access to and use of myCSSPEN be terminated, or if you have questions about this agreement, please
contact CSS Pension Plan.
Disclaimer CSS Pension Plan has made all reasonable efforts to protect the confidentiality of the personal information that you provide to us, and to ensure that your electronic transactions with us are secure. However, CSS Pension Plan is not responsible for:
- Any loss or damage that may arise from interception, loss, theft or other action regarding your personal information while in transit from your device to us
- The inaccuracy of any information provided to CSS Pension Plan via this service
- Any unauthorized access due to your failure to keep your login information and password secure
- Any loss or damage incurred by you because of any restriction, delay, malfunction or unavailability of myCSSPEN
Security CSS Pension Plan takes all reasonable precautions to protect the confidentiality of the personal information you provide and to ensure that your electronic transactions with us are secure.
There are two main ways that we protect the security of your transactions:
- Encryption electronically scrambles the data stream between your computer and our server. This minimizes the risk that Internet hackers and other users will alter or view information being transmitted. You must be using a browser with minimum 128-bit encryption in order to access this site.
- Firewalls are a combination of hardware and software designed to securely separate the outside world from our internal computer systems.
Email should not be used to send or receive sensitive private information. Ordinary email is neither secure nor encrypted.

- myCSSPEN delivers specific services and information to CSS Pension Plan members. In offering these services and information, CSS Pension Plan may collect and use your personal information to verify your identity, authorize or process applications or transactions you have requested, provide you with information related to your account, communicate information about CSS Pension Plan, analyze your needs to better serve you, develop new services for members, and to comply with applicable laws. Please read our Privacy Policy for more information about how we collect and use your personal information.
- CSS Pension Plan has chosen to adopt the standards established in the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) of Canada as our guide to managing personal information. All personal information you provide to CSS Pension Plan is protected and used in accordance with the standards set under provisions of PIPEDA. This means that, at the point of collection, you will be informed that your personal information is being collected, the purpose for which it is being collected and that you have the right to access and correct your personal information.
- CSS Pension Plan employs software programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage. This software receives and records the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the computer that has contacted our website, the date and time of the visit, and the pages visited. We make no attempt to link these addresses with the identity of individuals visiting our site unless an attempt to damage the site has been detected.
- myCSSPEN uses cookies to track users who are logged in. These cookies are necessary for myCSSPEN to function. They are terminated when a user logs out of myCSSPEN. (A cookie is a file that may be placed on your hard drive without your knowledge by a website to allow it to monitor your use of the site.)
- The CSS Pension Plan public website occasionally uses cookies to track how our visitors use this site or to determine sites previously visited. The cookies we use do not allow us to identify individuals.
Caution
Any device you use to access myCSSPEN should be examined for and protected against malicious code (viruses) prior to logging on to the system.
If you are using this service on a shared computer at home or at work, or on a public computer (i.e. public kiosk or library), please ensure that you do not leave the computer unattended while accessing this service. This will ensure that no one else can access any personal information on myCSSPEN. Ensure that you log out once you have completed your session so that none of your personal data is accessible to other individuals who will subsequently use the same computer.
You must also be cautious about saving any personal information on the hard drive of a shared computer, which would also become accessible to other individuals. Also be sure to delete any outstanding print jobs when you conclude your session so that none of your personal information can subsequently be printed and be made available to other persons.
